Last Update há 2 meses

This guide explains how to navigate the Home Screen and manage farms and fields in the CultiWise application. It covers how to create new farms, add fields, upload or draw field boundaries, and manage existing farms and fields using the available editing tools.

Home Screen

The Home Screen is the first page displayed when you open the application. It serves as the starting point for creating and managing farms and fields.

The left panel provides access to all your farms and fields. At the top, there is a navigation panel with various available functionalities.

Setting your first farm

How to create a farm

When you first start using CultiWise, no farms are available, so you must create one. To do this, click the 'CREATE NEW' button in the left panel and select 'Farm'.

Farm basic information:

  • First, fill out the form with basic details about your farm, including its location. At a minimum, enter the Farm Name. When you're finished, click 'SUBMIT'.
Note: To display the farm’s location in the main preview, we recommend filling in the City field. Alternatively, you can manually select the location on the map to the right.
Additional options:
  • Once a farm is created, it will appear in the left panel. You can edit or delete a farm at any time using the available icons, which appear when you hover over the farm name.
How to create a field

When you create your first farm, no fields will be available. To add one, click the 'CREATE NEW' button in the left panel and select Field.

Field basic information:

  • Select the Farm where you want to create the field.
  • Enter the Field Name
  • (Optional) Add a location description.

Note: The field creation process is independent of the view from which you started. Always ensure that you have selected the correct farm in the form before proceeding.

Uploading field boundaries
Option 1
  • Upload a boundary file in .zip format. Ensure all required files are included (.shp, .shx, .dbf, and .prj) for correct functionality.

Important: The layer must be in EPSG:4326 (WGS 84) to be processed correctly.

  • Each uploaded layer should contain only one field boundary. If your file includes multiple field boundaries in a single layer, you have two options:
    • Upload each field individually as a separate file.
    • Upload the .zip file and manually remove extra fields in the preview. (Recommended only for a small number of fields or if you are willing to adjust them manually).
      • If your file contains multiple field boundaries, we recommend contacting support for assistance. More details can be found on our Support Page.

Option 2:

  • Manually draw and adjust the field boundary directly within the application.

Additional options:

  • Once a field is created, it will appear in the left panel under the selected farm. You can edit or delete a field at any time using the available icons, which appear when you hover over the field name.
