This guide explains how to edit prescription maps in CultiWise, including the available editing tools, rate adjustments, and polygon modifications. It covers how to adjust standard rates, add or delete polygons, modify buffer sizes, and edit variable rate zones for more accurate prescription mapping.
To start editing any prescription map, click the Pencil icon next to the name of the prescription map. A panel with available options will then appear.

Spot Spray prescription map edit

- To view more information about your map, expand the map details by clicking the Arrow icon next to the map name.
The legend and basic details of the spot spray map will be displayed. By default, the application sets the rate to 200.

Adjustments
Standard Rate
- This rate represents the value used for broadcast application. It serves as a reference for comparing the results of variable rate application to those of broadcast application.
- Value can be adjusted, and all the savings calculations will based on this value.
- For example, changing the rate to 150 and clicking 'Save' updates the savings estimate.

Polygon Rate
- This value represents the rate applied to a specific polygon.
Each polygon can be set individually.
- For example, you can change the rate of one polygon to 500, while the others will remain unchanged. To apply the changes, click 'Save'.

Adjusting the Polygon Rate essentially creates a variable rate map, updating statistics and savings accordingly.

- A buffer represents a value in meters by which you can expand or contract the area of the polygons on the prescription map.
For example, if you set the buffer to 1 meter, all the polygons will be expanded by 1 meter.

Processing time may vary based on the map size.
Below is the result of applying a 1-meter buffer.

This tool allows you to create new spray areas by drawing polygons.
To create a polygon, click on the map to mark vertex points and complete the polygon by clicking on the starting point where you began drawing.
You can set a different rate for the new polygon.
For example, you can set the rate to 120. Once you're satisfied with the polygon, click 'Save' to apply the changes.

The newly added polygon is now visible on the map.

- This tool allows you to remove selected polygons from the prescription map.
- When the tool is selected, you can choose multiple polygons by clicking on them. Clicking again will deselect a polygon.
- Once you’ve finished selecting, click 'Save' to delete all the selected polygons.

- In this example, the top-right orange polygon is deleted. Below is the updated map.

- This tool allows you to remove sections of a polygon where spraying is unnecessary.
- The process is similar to adding a polygon—draw a cut line polygon to define the area for removal.
- Once finished, click 'Save' to cut selected area from original polygon.

Below is the result after applying the Cut Polygon tool.

Variable rate prescription map edit
Variable rate prescription maps guide applications across the entire field, ensuring different zones receive varying application rates.
This section covers the available tools for creating prescription maps used in broadcast applications with variable rate zones.
- For this type of prescription map, only the rates for individual zones can be edited.
- You can adjust the rate for any zone as needed.

- In this example, the rate for a zone is increased from 100 to 400, causing a color change between the two areas.

Yield potential map edit
For this type of prescription map, rates can be adjusted for each yield zone to optimize application based on expected crop performance. Zones are generated based on yield potential.
- The Yield Potential Map allows zone rate adjustments.
- The rate is displayed in kg/ha. Each zone's rate can be modified, along with the Standard Rate.
- Below is an example of the default settings.

You can now set custom values for each zone. Once you're done, click 'Save' to update the rates.

Custom rates automatically update volume savings calculations based on the Standard Rate.
